Wash100 Award Popular Vote Week 4: Industry Leaders Hold Strong as Public Officials Gain Ground

The Wash100 Award’s Popular Vote competition continues to heat up as industry leaders and public officials compete for the top spots. As Week 4 concludes, familiar names remain dominant, while some contenders are making notable progress.

The Top 10

Scott Edwards, CEO of Summit 7 Systems, continues to hold a commanding lead with 634 votes, solidifying his position as the frontrunner. Bill Webner of Allocore surged to second place with 464 votes. SAIC President Toni Townes-Whitley stays in third place with 412 votes, reflecting continued support from the government contracting community.

DeEtte Gray of CACI holds steady at fourth place with 366 votes, followed closely by Gen. Charles Brown Jr., the former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, at 362 votes. Elon Musk, the Tesla and SpaceX CEO now associated with the Department of Government Efficiency, remains a significant force in sixth place with 360 votes.

CACI’s John Mengucci secures the seventh spot with 328 votes, demonstrating a strong presence in the industry. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem follows closely in eighth place with 316 votes. Booz Allen’s Andrea Inserra breaks into the top 10, debuting at ninth with 314 votes. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth sits in the tenth spot with 309 votes.

Other Notable Contenders

While the top 10 remains competitive, several candidates outside are gaining momentum. State Secretary Marco Rubio closes in at 11th with 304 votes, followed by Booze Allen’s Steve Escaravage with 274. White House Border Czar Tom Homan is just outside the top ranks at 267 votes, while Venice Goodwine of the Department of the Air Force has 255 votes.

The DOD Office of the Chief Information Officer’s Juan Ramirez has 247 votes, while Earl Stafford Jr. of Aperio Global holds 237 votes. CIA Director John Ratcliffe continues to gain support with 235 votes and Rohit Gupta of Aretum follows with 223 votes.
