Jim Garrettson, CEO of Executive Mosaic, Presents Greg Wenzel, EVP at Booz Allen, His First Wash100 Award

Jim Garrettson, founder and CEO of Executive Mosaic, presented Greg Wenzel, executive vice president at Booz Allen Hamilton, with his first Wash100 Award on Wednesday. 

Executive Mosaic recognizes Wenzel for creating new solutions in IT systems and other emerging technologies. We are honored to present the most coveted award in government contracting to Greg Wenzel and Booz Allen Hamilton.

Wenzel joined Booz Allen Hamilton as a principal consultant in 1988. He continued in the role for 18 years before becoming a vice president in 2007. Wenzel moved into a senior vice president position in 2009 and led the Army’s C4ISR business for five years. In 2014, Wenzel assumed his role as executive vice president.

Prior to his tenure with Booz Allen Hamilton, Wenzel served as the chief architect for several commercial business-to-business exchanges while he was with Aestix.com. He was also chief engineer for many distributed applications supporting clients in the Department of Defense and other federal agencies.

Wenzel served eight years in the U.S. Army National Guard/Reserves as a combat engineer and achieved the rank of captain. He earned a bachelor of science in computer science from Clarion University of Pennsylvania and his master of science in computer science from Johns Hopkins University. 

The Wash100 award, now in its sixth year, recognizes the most influential executives in the GovCon industry as selected by the Executive Mosaic team in tandem with online nominations from the GovCon community. Representing the best of the private and public sector, the winners demonstrate superior leadership, innovation, reliability, achievement and vision.
