We’ve come such a long way since January. When we began this year’s iteration, no executive had ever amassed 1,000 points in the Wash100 popular vote contest. Now, the top eight executives in the top 30 have all cleared the 1,000 threshold! No matter where they ultimately land when voting closes in ONE WEEK, Booz Allen Hamilton’s Judi Dotson, Google Public Sector’s Karen Dahut, AT&T’s Jill Singer, Carahsoft’s Craig Abod, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Charles Brown Jr., IBM’s Susan Wedge, Oracle’s Kim Lynch and Booz Allen’s Steve Escaravage have all made Wash100 history!
Individuals from across government contracting and the federal sector look to the Wash100 Award every year as a compass telling them which direction the market is moving and who is doing the heavy lifting in bringing that to bear. Since we last updated you on Friday, Steve Escavarage has made inroads back toward the top five, where he once ranked as highly as number four. He now sits at number seven, up one spot from Friday. Could he challenge his colleague Judi Dotson for the number one spot? You can help propel Escaravage by participating in the race!
Although Gen. Charles Brown Jr. has performed impressively this year, spending the first five weeks of the contest at number two and the ensuing six weeks at number three, it seems he might not be able to bring the Department of Defense another victory after Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin’s victory in this race last year. Or will he? If you’re a proponent of the government side of GovCon getting some love, cast your votes now for Gen. Brown Jr.!
