Intel’s Cameron Chehreh Presented With 2023 Wash100 Award

Intel Public Sector Vice President and General Manager Cameron Chehreh accepted his 2023 Wash100 Award from Executive Mosaic CEO Jim Garrettson in a recent meeting.

Chehreh earned this year’s Wash100 Award — his first — by demonstrating leadership in propelling the semiconductor chip technology industry forward and by helping to establish key partnerships between Intel and research and educational organizations.

The Wash100 Award is focused on the future; as such, the accolade not only recognizes executives for their past achievements but also for their anticipated future contributions to critical government missions.

Chehreh is uniquely positioned to succeed in the government contracting ecosystem because of the momentum and funding behind semiconductor chip manufacturing in the United States. As SVP & GM at Intel, one of the country’s key chip manufacturers, Chehreh is a figure to watch in the coming year.

To answer the growing call for increased domestic chip manufacturing, Intel is building a new manufacturing site in Columbus, Ohio, which is expected to open in 2025.

Since his selection to the Wash100 class of 2023, Intel was selected by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency to participate in a program developing cryptography tools designed to protect computing systems from cyberthreats.

Additionally, in January Intel was one of four companies to partner with the National Science Foundation on the agency’s Future of Semiconductors initiative, which is investing $50 million in chip design advancements.

Executive Mosaic congratulates Cameron Chehreh and the entire Intel team for being chosen for this year’s Wash100 list.

You can vote for Chehreh as your favorite Wash100 Award winner at Wash100.com! The voting period is open until April 28.
