Josh Wilson, CEO of LMI, has received the 2026 Wash100 Award in recognition of his leadership in driving mission-focused innovation, expanding digital and analytics capabilities, and positioning the organization for its next stage of enterprise growth.
Jim Garrettson, CEO of Executive Mosaic and founder of the Wash100 Award, presented the honor during the 2026 GovCon Executive Leadership Summit on Feb. 26.
Why Did Josh Wilson Win the 2026 Wash100 Award?
The 2026 award marks Wilson’s first Wash100 recognition, highlighting his role in helping advance LMI’s digital transformation efforts during a critical period for federal technology modernization. He was also recognized for his leadership since assuming the CEO role in January 2026.
Wilson stepped into the position after more than a decade with the company, where he held several leadership roles focused on growth, technology advancement and mission delivery. His appointment marked the first time LMI selected a CEO from within its own leadership ranks.
As CEO, Wilson has outlined a technology strategy focused on advancing edge capabilities and integrating hardware and software to accelerate mission-ready innovation. He has emphasized increased investment in research and development to deliver deployable technologies faster, reflecting the government’s demand for ready-to-use solutions.
Under his leadership, LMI has advanced several initiatives, including the acquisition of intellectual property to launch the SPECTR sensor mesh platform; securing a position on the Missile Defense Agency’s $151 billion Scalable Homeland Innovative Enterprise Layered Defense, or SHIELD, contract vehicle; earning “awardable” status on the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office’s Tradewinds Solutions Marketplace; and supporting expanded use of the Army Training Information System.

The Executive Mosaic CEO also pointed to Wilson’s long-standing contributions to the company as a key factor behind the recognition.

Who Is Josh Wilson?
Josh Wilson is a government contracting leader with more than 15 years of experience spanning defense, consulting and advanced technology services. He has spent over a decade helping shape LMI’s strategy and mission delivery capabilities.
Before becoming CEO, Wilson served as president of markets, growth and technology, responsible for driving the company’s growth strategy, managing its customer portfolio and guiding investments in research and development. Prior to that, he was the vice president of LMI’s digital and analytic solutions business unit and advanced analytics service line. He held director and program manager roles earlier in his LMI career.
A former U.S. Army officer, Wilson worked in Deloitte’s public sector practice, specializing in analytics-driven business transformation and strategic planning. The West Point graduate currently serves on the advisory boards of Armaments Research Co. and George Mason University’s Greg and Camille Baroni Center for Government Contracting.
