The Wash100 Award pays tribute to 100 remarkable executives from the public and private sectors who have significantly contributed to the ever-changing government contracting landscape.
“Brian’s first Wash100 win comes as DecisionPoint ascends to GovCon prominence. As founder and CEO, Brian has led the company to secure major contracts with USTRANSCOM, the VA and the Air Force, proving its value in cybersecurity, logistics and decision support,” said Jim Garrettson, CEO of Executive Mosaic and founder of the Wash100 Award.
“Building a company from the ground up into a trusted federal partner takes sharp leadership and a clear vision—both of which Brian has in abundance. This recognition marks a major milestone, and I’m sure it won’t be the last we hear about Brian and his venerable brainchild,” added Garrettson.
For his part, Flood said, “All achievement, certainly achievement that results in recognition, like this award, is a collective accomplishment. It is the collective pursuit of excellence, the collective desire to be part of something bigger than ourselves, to pursue a greater good, to serve the needs of the disparate agency and command missions we are privileged to support, that has lifted DecisionPoint to a level of excellence that has resulted in this recognition.”
“I choose to believe that it is our common ethos of commitment to one another that allows us to achieve accomplishments worthy of recognition. My gratitude goes to my colleagues who empower us forward to greater service each day,” Flood added.
Leading Advanced Technology Adoption
With Flood leading the charge, DecisionPoint has strengthened its foothold in the industry. In 2024, the company landed significant contracts that further solidified its reputation as a trusted provider of innovative technology services.
Back in July, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service awarded DecisionPoint a $9.9 million contract for information security system management services. The task order includes cloud and security engineering and architecture support to further safeguard FSIS data.
Concerning the deal, Flood welcomed the opportunity for his company to collaborate on the “mission-critical initiatives” of FSIS and said, “This contract underscores our expertise in cybersecurity and cloud engineering, and we look forward to supporting FSIS in their vital work.”
The company also secured an $80.5 million contract from the Department of Veterans Affairs for the procurement of organizational decision support services to enhance its investments and operational efficiency. DecisionPoint is tasked with providing services such as resource optimization, data collection and scenario planning.
In November 2024, DecisionPoint was awarded a $30 million contract by the U.S. Transportation Command to provide Global Freight Management services supporting modernization efforts of the Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command. The contract covers the enhancement of freight management processes, including secure data exchanges, operational efficiency and electronic procurement of commercial freight transportation services.
Proven Track Record in Government Technology
Prior to founding DecisionPoint in 2011, Flood co-founded and served as CEO of the Aequus Strategy Group. The business development professional also worked as senior vice president of market intelligence at FedSources and VP of sales at PPI. Flood served in the Army early in his career where he held various positions.
Flood has leveraged his military and business experience in closing deals with the public and private sectors, ensuring that these federal and defense agencies bolster their efforts to modernize their operations and boost their efficiency.
