Kevin Phillips, President and CEO of ManTech, Inducted into 2018 Wash100 for Innovative Problem-solving and Strategic Vision

Executive Mosaic is pleased to announce that Kevin Phillips, CEO and president of ManTech, has been inducted into the 2018 edition of the Wash100 — Executive Mosaic’s annual selection of the most influential voices in the government contracting arena–for his leadership in the digital domain and and successful strategy implementation in the intelligence community.

Kevin M. Phillips was appointed CEO of the company on Jan. 1 of this year, after serving as president and chief operating officer since 2016. Phillips joined ManTech during the company’s acquisition of CTX Corporation in 2002 and since then has held corporate VP, chief of staff and assistant chairman roles with the company prior to becoming president and COO in 2016.

Commenting on his new appointment, Phillips noted that he welcomes the opportunity and appreciates the trust that the company’s board of directors placed in him, most notably from his work under his predecessor George Pedersen.

“It has been my privilege over the years to learn from one of the very best executives in our industry, that today is capable of supporting the increasing needs of our federal government customers,” said Phillips. “I am truly excited about continuing to work with [Pedersen] and the rest of ManTech’s employees to help our customers meet the mission requirements and challenges ahead.”

After closing its $180 million acquisition of Maryland-based IT platforms provider InfoZen in October, Phillips said that ManTech has plans to further expand its key capabilities through targeted acquisitions that would help support key clients while pursuing ventures in emerging areas of information technology.

“We made a conscious decision over the last four or five years that we were not going to focus on size,” he told reporters from Inside Defense earlier this month. “[ManTech] will focus on cybersecurity, software engineering and development, big data and enterprise IT to achieve growth in the next three years,” Phillips said.

He noted that the company aims to record approximately $2.5 billion in revenue by 2020 under Phillips’ leadership.

Executive Mosaic congratulates Kevin Phillips and the ManTech team for their selection to receive this award.
