Randy Fuerst, Oceus CEO, Chosen to Wash100 for Broadband Services Leadership
Executive Mosaic is glad to introduce Randy Fuerst, Oceus Networks president and CEO, as the newest inductee into the Wash100 — a group of influential leaders in the government contracting industry.
Fuerst served as the company’s chief operating officer before his promotion to CEO in September 2014.
He spoke to ExecutiveBiz shortly after his appointment to the chief executive post and highlighted the future FirstNet communications network for first responders as an area of potential growth for Oceus and other GovCon firms.
“Deployable systems and light-weight fixed infrastructure will play a critical role in accounting for half of the architecture (of FirstNet) and accelerating the network roll-out to cover a country that is 95-percent rural or remote,” Fuerst said to ExecutiveBiz.
He also highlighted the company’s selection for a contract to help the state of New Jersey build a broadband communications network for public safety agencies there.
The 30-tear industry veteran is a member of the Professional Services Council board and Tech America and a former COO from CACI International.
