Dave Herr, BAE Service Sectors EVP, Elected to Wash 100
Executive Mosaic is glad to announce Dave Herr, executive vice president of the service sectors at BAE Systems‘ U.S. subsidiary — BAE Systems Inc. — as the newest inductee into the Wash100, the premier group of leaders who drive innovation and growth at the intersection of the public and private sectors.
He leads a team of 19,300 people around the world and works to develop and implement business strategies in support of leadership teams responsible for pursuing new opportunities both in the U.S. and internationally.
In his prior role as support solutions president, Herr oversaw 11,000 employees that provided air and missile defense system services, communications systems integration and a number of other offerings to the federal government.
Before he took on his president role, he served as vice president of commercial avionics for BAE’s platform solutions business.
His other leadership roles with the firm include VP of operations for the former electronics and integrated solutions operating group and VP of operations for platform solutions.

Herr was featured in the C4ISR edition of GovCon Exec magazine, where he commented on BAE’s preparation for the anticipated declines in U.S. defense spending.
“We realigned our businesses to become more cost-competitive and agile,” he said. “Now we are more streamlined to meet customer needs for products and services, including those in the C4ISR market.”
Prior to joining BAE, Herr held leadership roles at General Electric Aircraft Engines and Lockheed Martin.
