Microsoft Federal President Rick Wagner Presented Fourth Consecutive Wash100 Award By Executive Mosaic CEO Jim Garrettson

Rick Wagner, president of Microsoft Federal, has received his 2021 Wash100 Award, the most prestigious award in all of government contracting (GovCon) recognizing the contributions of the top executive in the sector, for his leadership and efforts to drive digital transformation as federal agencies continue to push their adoption of the latest emerging technologies.

Executive Mosaic CEO Jim Garrettson presented the fourth consecutive Wash100 Award to Wagner on Wednesday. Previously, Wagner was recognized with a 2020 Wash100 Award for leading efforts to drive cybersecurity, intelligence and other emerging technologies for the company and federal agencies.

“First and foremost, our greatest strength is Microsoft’s 40-year history of supporting the federal government. Microsoft is committed to assisting the federal government and over that 40 years, our support has evolved,” Wagner explained during a recent Executive Spotlight interview with ExecutiveBiz back in July.

Last year, we reorganized portions of our business under what we call Microsoft Federal and the idea behind Microsoft Federal was to enable us to serve the federal government better. The reorganization allows us to bring all the innovation in Microsoft to best support the federal government.

Most recently, Wagner made headlines in the federal landscape for a recent blog post breaking down Microsoft Federal’s work to help its customers meet their mission requirements and priorities by making investments to deliver cloud capabilities to the edge in support of mission operators.

In addition, Wash100 winner Rick Wagner was also in the news recently for advocating for the success of Microsoft’s cybersecurity support of our nation’s national security sector. Microsoft recently announced its mission to invest $20 billion over the next five years to design and deliver advanced security solutions that will accelerate the nation’s cybersecurity missions.

Executive Mosaic congratulates Microsoft Federal’s Rick Wagner for his fourth consecutive Wash100 Award win. His leadership and consistent contributions to the federal and GovCon sectors demonstrate the level of success and excellence that has become synonymous with the Wash100 Award.
