Leidos Chairman, CEO Roger Krone Receives 9th Wash100 Award From Executive Mosaic CEO Jim Garrettson

Roger Krone, chairman and CEO of Leidos, recently received his 2022 Wash100 Award, which makes Krone the only nine-time winner of the highest honor and most prestigious award in all of government contracting (GovCon).

Executive Mosaic CEO Jim Garrettson recently presented Krone’s ninth Wash100 Award for his leadership and drive for company growth that led to significant acquisitions in 2021 as well as company growth of more than $4.7 billion that drives Leidos into the year to come.

“The Wash100 Award has differentiated itself by presenting the award to its winners not based on past performance, but based on each winner’s potential to succeed and drive the industry forward in the year to come,” Garrettson explained.

“Roger Krone is the only executive in Wash100 history to receive the award every year since its inception, which displays the highest level of leadership and success that Roger has consistently demonstrated for Leidos and the GovCon community.”

To continue his success as the winningest Wash100 recipient in history, Krone commented on the first quarter performance of Leidos in the fiscal year 2022 as the company recorded $5.4 billion in its net bookings with a book-to-bill ratio of 1.6 and ended the quarter with a total backlog of approximately $36.3 billion, with $7.1 billion of that funded.

Major bookings for the quarter include a potential 10-year, $2.5 billion Advanced Enterprise Global Information Technology Solutions contract with NASA as as well as potential 10-year, $1.7 billion National Airspace System integration support contract with the Federal Aviation Administration.

“Our first quarter marked a strong start to 2022, with record levels of revenues and backlog stemming from our leadership position in the government technology market. We continued to build our reputation and track record of performance in digital technology, cyber, and innovative systems across our diversified, resilient business portfolio,” said Krone.

In addition, Leidos received a potential 10-year, $11.5 billion contract to help DISA consolidate the agency’s IT networks by moving DOD agencies and field activities to a common network architecture to support IT user experience, security and management functions.

Krone also expressed his enthusiasm to establish the modern infrastructure foundation for DISA and to deliver critical combat support capabilities to our warfighters. DISA sought a single service provider network environment capable of accommodating personnel, communications systems and other program elements of 22 agencies in the Fourth Estate.

Executive Mosaic is honored to present Roger Krone with his 2022 Wash100 Award. Roger Krone is the only executive across the entire federal sector who has received the award every year since its inception in 2014. As the winningest recipient in Wash100 history, Roger Krone continues to demonstrate the standard of excellence to drive the GovCon community forward.
