Cubic President & CEO Stevan Slijepcevic Lands 2nd Wash100 Award for Growth Vision & Transitional Leadership

Stevan Slijepcevic, president and CEO of Cubic, has been recognized by Executive Mosaic in the 2023 edition of the Wash100, the second consecutive time he's been chosen to receive the most prestigious accolade in the government contracting arena.

Slijepcevic landed his first Wash100 award in the wake of his appointment to lead the San Diego-based defense and transportation contractor. In a January 2022 transition announcement, Slijepcevic said he would use his business operations experience and partner with the management team to steer Cubic through its next steps as a private company.

The former Honeywell executive took the helm of Cubic eight months after the latter's $3 billion sale to private equity firms Veritas Capital and Evergreen Coast Capital.

Cubic expanded its leadership team in 2022 with the addition of Travis Chester as senior vice president and chief financial officer, Deborah Cegielski as SVP and chief human resources and diversity officer and Michael Stahl as SVP of integrated supply chain. All three senior executives report directly to Slijepcevic as they help spearhead the corporation's financial management, workforce development and supply chain processes.

In May 2022, Cubic booked a $90.6 million contract to perform security updates to the U.S. Air Force's P5 Combat Training System encryptor.

The company's mission and performance solutions division secured certification in June for the M3-SE and M3X server products through the Department of Defense Information Network Approved Product List.

CMPS additionally worked with General Dynamics Mission Systems to produce an 81mm mortar instrumentation system that Fort Hood soldiers tested last year and collaborated with Northrop Grumman to demonstrate a connectivity gateway system for the Department of Defense's Joint All Domain Command and Control initiative.

In November, Cubic entered the full-rate production phase of the U.S. Marine Corps' Next Generation Troposcatter program under a $325 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract awarded in 2019.

Executive Mosaic congratulates Stevan Slijepcevic and the entire Cubic team on their 2023 Wash100 recognition. Now in its 10th year, the Wash100 represents a cross-section of consequential leaders that demonstrated vision, achievement and innovation for their organization.
