Executive Mosaic CEO Jim Garrettson recently presented a 2022 Wash100 Award, the most prestigious award in all of government contracting (GovCon), for the first time to Stephanie Mango, president of CGI Federal, during a visit to the company’s office.
Stephanie Mango has been recognized as a first-time winner of the Wash100 for her leadership during the realignment of the company’s federal business structure as well as the expansion and growth of its federal business through digital transformation efforts with government agencies and critical purchases such as the recent ARRAY acquisition and more.
CGI Federal appointed Stephanie Mango to her current role, succeeding former president and four-time Wash100 recipient Tim Hurlebaus, in March 2021. Since her appointment, Mango has been responsible for the company’s 7,000 professionals to provide solutions for defense, civilian, healthcare and intelligence missions across more than 85 government agencies.
“I am honored to take the helm of such a remarkable organization that provides mission-critical services to help agencies enhance citizen engagement, accelerate digital transformation, protect America’s assets, modernize operations and empower the federal workforce of the future,” Mango emphasized.
During a recent Executive Spotlight interview with ExecutiveBiz, Stephanie Mango discussed the impact that key acquisitions have had on CGI Federal as well as her vision for the federal sector as we head into 2022 and beyond. For instance, she commented on the impact of CGI Federal’s company culture and how to drive growth and success in the federal landscape.
“The belief behind our transparency is that if you share with people what’s going on, then everybody can move in the same direction at the same time,” Mango explained. “If you don’t have constant transparency of strategy and goals, a company just cannot grow effectively. Other values that are key to our culture include empowerment, inclusion, positivity, ethics and measured risk-taking.”
