Andy Green and William LaPlante Honored with 2023 Wash100 Awards

Executive Mosaic is pleased to highlight the achievements of Andy Green and William LaPlante, two esteemed leaders who have been selected for the 2023 Wash100 class.

This year marks the award’s 10th anniversary of honoring the most notable executives in the vast government contracting community for their invaluable contributions to their organizations and critical government initiatives.

For the fifth consecutive year, Green, who serves as executive vice president of HII and president of HII Mission Technologies, was recognized for his skilled leadership and success in guiding the company forward.

Under Green’s leadership, HII Mission Technologies secured a $826 million task order to deliver decisive mission actions and technology support to the Department of Defense in April as well as two other contracts from different federal agencies valued at $127 million and $79 million.

Green also led the acquisition of Alion Science and Technology, which drove a 51 percent increase in revenue for HII Business Technologies in the third-quarter of last year, representing a total of $595 million in growth. To read his full profile, click here.

LaPlante’s recognition marks his second year as a Wash100 awardee. Since being sworn in as DOD undersecretary of defense for acquisition and sustainment in April 2022, he has made fruitful efforts to foster engagement between the department and its industry partners.

In September alone, the department issued $90 million in total across 19 awards under its Defense Community Infrastructure Pilot Program and $30 million as part of its Defense Manufacturing Community Support Program, a testament to LaPlante’s strong belief in collaboration between the public and private sectors. Click here to read his full profile.
