Christopher Kubasik, L3 Technologies CEO, Inducted Into 2019 Wash100 for Expanding Company's Position in Federal Market

Executive Mosaic is pleased to introduce Christopher Kubasik, chairman, president and CEO of L3 Technologies, as an inductee into the 2019 Wash100 — Executive Mosaic’s annual selection of the most influential voices in the government contracting arena — for securing multiple contracts to expand the company’s position in the federal market.

Kubasik joined L3 Technologies as president and chief operating officer in 2015. He was named chief executive and chairman of the board in early 2018. In his first year as head of L3, the company secured multiple contracts for the U.S. military.

The U.S. Navy awarded L3 a potential five-year, $218.1 million contract to provide aircrew training systems for the service’s F/A-18C/D/E/F and EA-18G fleets in April 2018. The contract also tasked L3 with updating hardware and software on existing training equipment for the aircraft.

L3 was also among six companies that secured spots on a potential 10-year, $25.5 billion contract to assist the Army in the maintenance of aircraft and support equipment deployed outside the continental U.S. in April 2018.

The company received two separate awards to provide support services to the Army in June 2018. L3 is working with the service through 2025 to manufacture small tactical optical rifle-mounted micro-laser range finder systems under a potential seven-year, $236 million contract. The Army also awarded the company a three-year, $391 million contract to manufacture binocular night vision goggles for U.S. troops.

“As the Army continues to modernize to keep pace with near-peer adversaries, our agility and experience enable us to move quickly in a heightened threat environment,” Kubasik said.

Kubasik possesses more than 30 years of experience in the aerospace and defense industry, serving in executive roles at Ernst and Young, Lockheed Martin and Seabury Advisory Group. He serves on the Executive Committee and Board of Governors of the Aerospace Industries Association.

Kubasik also serves as a member of the Air Force Association, the National Defense Industrial Association, the Navy League of the United States and the Association of the United States Army. Kubasik is also vice president of the board of governors of the Wings Club Foundation, Inc. and a member of the University of Maryland Board of Trustees.

Executive Mosaic congratulates Christopher Kubasik and the L3 Technologies team for their selection to receive this award.
