Navy Secretary Carlos Del Toro Receives 2023 Wash100 Award From Executive Mosaic CEO Jim Garrettson

U.S. Navy Secretary Carlos Del Toro accepted his 2023 Wash100 Award during a recent meeting with Jim Garrettson, CEO of Executive Mosaic and founder of the elite recognition.

Wash100 reached its 10th anniversary this year, a reflection of its enduring legacy as the government contracting industry’s highest honor. In each iteration of the competition, Wash100 puts its nominees through a rigorous selection process that carefully assesses their past achievements and forward momentum to determine the top tier of GovCon leaders.

Del Toro’s win marks his first entry into the ranks of Wash100, which he earned for his monumental efforts to drive Navy modernization. His accomplishments over the past year include the initiation of a 30-year infrastructure modernization plan, which is currently in development, as well as reworking the service branch’s acquisition policy and leading the integration of emerging technologies into Navy operations. Click here to read his full profile.

Looking ahead, Del Toro aims to experiment with new technologies in order to properly mature them prior to their deployment in larger programs.

Executive Mosaic congratulates Del Toro on his first-ever Wash100 Award win and looks forward to seeing where his leadership takes the Navy next.
