Delivering on the Missions That Matter
QinetiQ US is expanding its role across the missions that matter most to today’s defense and security priorities. The company is the only prime contractor operating strategic and tactical aerostat systems for U.S. border security and is deepening its contributions to Navy fleet modernization and the national shipbuilding effort.
On the ground systems side, QinetiQ US is advancing next-generation sensing and target acquisition programs while growing its counter-UAS portfolio. The company also provides engineering and technical services to support space and missile defense priorities, extends proven surveillance capabilities to allied partners, and delivers specialized mission support to Special Operations Forces.

Executive Leadership at the Crossroads of Innovation & Integration
On Feb. 26, Vecchiolla joined fellow industry leaders at the Potomac Officers Club’s 2026 GovCon Executive Leadership Summit for a panel discussion titled “Leading the Shift: CEOs at the Crossroads of Innovation and Integration,” moderated by Kevin Plexico, senior vice president of information solutions at Deltek. Vecchiolla appeared alongside Stephanie Mango, president of CGI Federal; Parag Thakker, CEO of OMNI; and Julian Setian, CEO of SOSi. (Plexico, Mango and Setian are fellow Wash100 awardees.)
During the discussion, Vecchiolla emphasized disciplined portfolio focus, QinetiQ US’ expanding partnerships with the Department of War and Department of Homeland Security — including growing engagement with U.S. Customs and Border Protection and the company’s approach to accelerating the transition of emerging technologies from concept to operational deployment.
