From her game-changing leadership as GSA CIO to her time at Salesforce shaping public sector strategy, Casey has built an incredible reputation as a driver of real innovation in government IT,” said Jim Garrettson, CEO of Executive Mosaic and founder of the Wash100 Award.
“Now, as she takes the reins of ServiceNow’s global public sector business, there’s no doubt she’ll continue making a huge impact. Casey has always been ahead of the curve, and we can’t wait to see how she takes ServiceNow and the public sector to new heights,” added Garrettson.
Taking on Global Public Sector Leadership Role at ServiceNow
In January, Coleman assumed her current role at California-based software company ServiceNow.
In this capacity, she oversees the development and implementation of a comprehensive global strategy for ServiceNow’s public sector business. She also helps identify emerging trends, opportunities and challenges within the sector to drive innovation and growth.
“I could not be more excited and honored to join the amazing ServiceNow Public Sector team to help our customers address their most critical mission problems and accelerate our global growth,” Coleman said of her appointment.
Launch of Government Transformation Suite
A month after Coleman joined ServiceNow, the company launched a new suite of products to boost visibility, accelerate return on investment and drive efficiency for U.S. federal agencies.
ServiceNow said the Government Transformation Suite is designed to help federal agencies manage and gain visibility into enterprise assets, modernize human resource processes into artificial intelligence-enabled workflows, transform the government worker experience and streamline their portfolio of applications.
The new product offering combines multiple ServiceNow platforms and professional services to help agencies accelerate mission goals.
Partnership to Advance Government Digital Transformation
Coleman’s arrival at ServiceNow comes on the heels of new and expanded partnerships with other industry leaders. ServiceNow has been forming and deepening relationships with tech companies to advance the use of emerging technologies to improve IT operations and address digital transformation challenges facing public sector customers.
In December, ServiceNow and General Dynamics Information Technology signed a two-year strategic collaboration agreement to drive digital transformation for government agencies by leveraging artificial intelligence.
Under this partnership, GDIT will integrate ServiceNow’s AI and machine learning IT operations platform into its Cove AI Ops Digital Accelerator to help government agencies automate routine tasks, gain real-time insights and address issues in a more proactive manner.
The two companies will also explore new AI use cases, build prototypes and create specialized training programs aligned with evolving federal mission needs.
Casey Coleman’s Career Highlights
Before ServiceNow, Coleman was senior VP at Salesforce, responsible for leading the company’s global enterprise positioning and value strategy for the public sector.
During her time at Salesforce, she participated in discussions about AI technology, including how generative AI could transform government operations, the challenges facing chief information officers when it comes to integrating AI into the enteprise and the need for training and skills development in order for public sector leaders to leverage the benefits of AI.
The Texas A&M University graduate’s industry career included leadership roles at several tech companies, including group VP for civilian agencies at Unisys and client executive VP at AT&T Government Solutions.
Prior to moving to industry, she spent more than a decade at the General Services Administration, where she served as CIO and chief technology officer.
Insights on AI, Other Tech Priorities in 2025
In the podcast Accelerating Government, Coleman talked about technology priorities in 2025, including customer and citizen experience, cybersecurity and technology modernization efforts.
She called on public sector organizations to be mindful of the imperatives of the new administration while focusing on their mission.
During the podcast, the ServiceNow executive told podcast host Dave Wennergren, CEO of the American Council for Technology-Industry Advisory Council and a two-time Wash100 awardee, about the potential role of AI in addressing coordination issues and automating manual processes.
“And AI can bring those things to you, automate that workflow, make work easy and then give you time back and give government officials whose expertise is better served in doing the job they were hired to do. So I’m excited about that,” Coleman said. “And I think AI agents are really going to be the thing that makes that happen. And we see it in every corner of the enterprise in IT, HR, in procurement, you know, the mission and program areas. It’s all going to be simplified and connected and made a lot more smart and automated.”
The former CIO at GSA also shared her thoughts on how AI could help improve customer experience, particularly the use of the technology in help desk and contact centers.
“It is going to revolutionize how we get help from a call center and we’re going to already see that agents, AI agents are going to augment and maybe even supplant some call center agents and so that’s an area where I can’t wait to see how much help we can get from AI technology,” Coleman said.Executive Mosaic extends its congratulations to Casey Coleman and the entire ServiceNow team for this remarkable achievement.
