John Borghard, CA Technologies Public Sector Sales SVP, Named to 2017 Wash100 for DevOps & Agile IT Leadership

Executive Mosaic is honored to introduce John Borghard, senior vice president for public sector sales at CA Technologies, as an inductee into the 2017 edition of the Wash100 — Executive Mosaic’s annual selection of influential leaders in the government contracting arena.
Borghard oversees software sales and delivery of services to federal, state and local government markets in the U.S. and Canada.
In a January interview with ExecutiveBiz, he said the company will continue to prioritize DevOps, cybersecurity and agile throughout its activities in the public sector area.
“When CA talks about DevOps we mean the process of enabling agencies to be in a continuous delivery mode with a focus on government creating software to shape the future,” Borghard said.
He noted that the software firm has experienced growth across each of the verticals of its public sector business and discussed how the acquisition of Rally Software has helped CA provide clients coaching and consulting support to create an agile information technology organization.
“Cloud will continue to be a key strategy for government agencies. The cloud is a key strategy for government to reduce costs and deploy solutions more quickly,” Borghard added.
Prior to CA, Borghard spent five years at Managed Objects as SVP of sales for the Americas and more than a year at Marketswitch as chief operating officer and president.
He held senior leadership roles at Computer Associates such as general manager for federal systems group and sales SVP.
Executive Mosaic congratulates John Borghard and the CA Technologies team for their selection to receive this award.
