Executive Mosaic, the leading provider in connecting, promoting and branding government and GovCon executives of consequence, was honored to present Max Peterson with his 2022 Wash100 Award for his leadership with AWS to drive cloud adoption and capabilities across the globe as well as driving innovation for the public sector and U.S. federal agencies.

Max Peterson was appointed to his current role in April 2021 as he succeeded six-time Wash100 Award winner Teresa Carlson. During his statement following the appointment, Peterson expressed his ambition to drive the company's capabilities for the future of U.S. government agencies.

He also emphasized his mission to drive AWS further into the education, nonprofits and healthcare sectors to expand the company’s footprint as well as Peterson’s more than three decades of expertise in the public sector and information technology (IT) efforts.

During a recent interview, Peterson shared his thoughts about the significant changes that cloud capabilities and new technological capabilities are driving a new era in public sector innovation and how AWS is helping organizations across the globe turn to the cloud to run mission-critical applications and improve system agility, security and more.

In regards to the biggest challenges that AWS is dealing with in cloud adoption across the public sector, Max Peterson discussed how the recent pandemic has accelerated cloud adoption efforts, especially in the public sector, but cloud implementation remains a significant challenge across the globe because of traditional procurement approaches and a skills gap in various workforces.

Executive Mosaic offers its congratulations to Amazon Web Services and Max Peterson for receiving the most prestigious award in all of GovCon. With his experience and proven success in our industry, Max Peterson’s accomplishments and future contributions can only be recognized by the Wash100 Award.
