Bruce Caswell, President and CEO of Maximus, Named to 2020 Wash100 for Driving Company Growth, Supporting Federal Initiatives

Executive Mosaic is honored to present Bruce Caswell, president and CEO of Maximus, as an inductee into the 2020 edition of the Wash100 Award for leading the company to continuous growth and supporting federal agencies missions in public health and human services sectors to improve human life.

Caswell has received a Wash100 Award for the last two consecutive years. His last Wash100 Award was the result of his efforts to improve the public health, human services and information technology sectors. His drive for those missions have earned him a second Wash100 Award.

Back in March 2019, Maximus’ federal business obtained a Maturity Level 5 (ML5) appraisal for its service establishment and management processes under the CMMI Institute's Capability Maturity Model Integration program.

The CMMI ML5 designation validates organizations' capacity for process modernization and is the highest rating under the appraisal program. It’s a level reserved for organizations that demonstrate true process optimization as well as quality consciousness and continuous improvement.

“We are extremely proud to be appraised at Maturity Level 5,” said Caswell. “It further demonstrates our commitment to customers and establishes us as both a leader and trusted partner for delivering superior solutions.”

The company also received Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program certification in May 2019 for an artificial intelligence-based virtual assistant to help manage agencies self-service channels.

Intelligent Assistant uses the Adaptive Understanding technology from application developer Interactions to aid people seeking government services through a customer service representative.

“Federal agencies are increasingly focused on improving the overall experience of the citizens they serve,” said Caswell. He added that the authorization reflects the company's ability to provide a technology that can support agency missions and help the government deliver public services.

In addition, Maximus also received certification from a health care accreditation body to assess the credentials of physicians who support the firm's government clients.

The National Committee for Quality Assurance granted the Credentials Verification Organization designation after the company underwent on-site assessments performed by a group of medical and credentialing professionals.

“We are committed to achieving the highest standards in the services we deliver to our clients and the people they serve,” said Caswell. “This CVO certification is a further reflection of our commitment to quality.”

In April 2018, Caswell assumed the CEO role after four years as the company’s president. He also held other executive roles with the company after joining in 2004 from IBM and Price Waterhouse. He has over 25 years of experience in the public health and human services sectors and has spoken out on the challenges involving health insurance and Medicaid managed care as a panelist and presenter.

Executive Mosaic congratulates Bruce Caswell and Maximus for his 2020 Wash100 Award selection. His continued drive for excellence in the government contracting sector and focus to improve and support federal agency missions to deliver government deliver public services.
