This week, some big changes swept the top 30 ranking. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, who has been hovering closer and closer to the top spot throughout the whole competition, finally clinched number one for the first time. Let’s see if he can hold off the fierce opposition and become champion.
Similarly achieving their highest position in the rankings yet was Tonya Wilkerson, deputy director of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, who rose from the number six slot to number four in the rankings over the last week.
Mary Petryszyn, corporate vice president and president of defense systems at Northrop Grumman, maintained her position at number five and was the highest ranking industry member on the combined list of government and industry leaders.
Ascending three spots in just a week’s time were two-time awardee Shawn Purvis, president and CEO of QinetiQ, who went from number 14 to number 11 and three-time honoree Stephanie Hill, executive vice president of rotary and mission systems at Lockheed Martin, who rose from number 15 to number 12.
Other notable moves over the course of the week included Stacey Dixon, principal deputy director of national intelligence at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, climbing four spots number 17 to number 13. Additionally, Phebe Novakovic, chairman and CEO of General Dynamics, soared from number 21 to number 15 during the week.
