Perspecta Chairman, CEO Mac Curtis Receives Seventh Consecutive Wash100 Award From Executive Mosaic CEO Jim Garrettson

Mac Curtis, chairman and CEO of Perspecta, has received a Wash100 Award, the most significant award of consequence to the government contracting (GovCon) sector, for the seventh consecutive year. Curtis has been recognized every year since 2015 for his leadership, reliability and innovative contributions to the federal landscape and GovCon sector.

“Mac Curtis is not just a chairman and CEO, he is a brand unto himself in the government contracting market; where he has delivered as much for the industry as he has for his firm,” said Jim Garrettson, founder and CEO of Executive Mosaic.

Mac Curtis was presented his 2021 Wash100 Award by Jim Garrettson during a recent visit to Perspecta recognizing his leadership and vision in the advancement of cybersecurity, intelligence and defense technologies through significant contract award wins and other moves.

“A reputation for positive perspective, extreme confidence in his people and his organization supporting his consistent track record of professional success. These are the hallmarks of Mac’s tenure,” Garrettson added.

In early 2021, Perspecta entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by Veritas Capital for approximately $7.1 billion in cash, or $29.35 per share. The Chantilly, Virginia-based contractor will be combined with Veritas-owned Peraton upon the deal’s closure to create an end-to-end information technology and mission support services provider in the government arena.

“This announcement is the culmination of a comprehensive review process. Having considered all opportunities available, the Perspecta board of directors is confident this transaction offers the most compelling value creation for shareholders,” Curtis said when asked about the deal.
