Carahsoft President Craig Abod Receives His Seventh Wash100 Award From Executive Mosaic CEO Jim Garrettson

Carahsoft President Craig Abod Receives His Seventh Wash100 Award From Executive Mosaic CEO Jim Garrettson

Craig Abod, president of Carahsoft, was presented his 2021 Wash100 Award on Wednesday, the seventh time he’s received the most prestigious award in all of government contracting (GovCon), by Executive Mosaic CEO Jim Garrettson during a recent visit to Carahsoft’s office.

“Craig has a formula that works and is a measurement fanatic. Abod follows the old saw, ‘what gets measured gets done,’ said Garrettson. “What gets done translates into perennial exponential success. Craig Abod, the self-made man, has proven year after year after year that he can not only grow a business effectively but can do it in one of the most competitive sectors,” Garrettson added.

Previously, Abod won his 2020 Wash100 Award for expanding Carahsoft’s portfolio and revenue through major contract award wins and developing close partnerships with the federal sector. In 2020, Abod continued his vision to push major IT modernization efforts, especially in cloud, hybrid cloud and other open software for the federal market.

The Wash100 Award acknowledges the achievements of the elite leaders in the GovCon sector and federal landscape in the year past, and recognizes in advance the significant contributions and success that those executives will have in the year to come.

Most notably, Abod said that the government is working to adapt to the changing needs of citizens during turbulent times. He specifically mentioned Carahsoft continuing its efforts to offer commercial hardware, software and support to key government clients.

“Our government customers are asking us for information on how they can get through this digital transformation especially in a time where their citizens are needing more human touch and they need to provide it using personal experiences in a digital format,” said Abod.

Most recently, Carahsoft announced that the company was partnering with Buurst and Amazon Web Services to help public sector organizations migrate data to AWS cloud-native services.

“Working with Buurst and AWS allows our public-sector customers to deploy the latest innovative technology in the cloud and at the edge. Buurst Fuusion enables public sector organizations to aggregate their data quickly and to migrate those workloads to advanced AWS cloud-native services securely,” said Abod.

Executive Mosaic congratulates the Carahsoft team and Craig Abod on their 2021 Wash100 Award and his seventh Wash100 Award win. Their contributions to the GovCon and federal sectors demonstrate the level of commitment and excellence that the Wash100 Award was created to recognize in our community.

Executive Mosaic recently announced that Dr. Stacey Dixon, deputy director of the NGA, had received the most votes from the GovCon community in the eight-year history of the Wash100 Award. Here are the final results of the 2021 Wash100 Vote Standings:
