Northrop CVP, President of Defense Systems Mary Petryszyn Presented 2nd Consecutive Wash100 Award By Executive Mosaic CEO Jim Garrettson

Mary Petryszyn, corporate vice president and president of defense systems business at Northrop Grumman, was presented her 2022 Wash100 Award by Executive Mosaic CEO Jim Garrettson during a recent visit to the company’s office in Falls Church, Virginia.

Executive Mosaic is proud to recognize Mary Petryszyn as a two-time Wash100 Award recipient, which demonstrates the level of leadership, commitment and accomplishment that she’s reached in support of the government contracting community to drive our industry forward. 

With her second-consecutive Wash100 win, Mary Petryszyn has received the highest honor in all of GovCon for her efforts to enable military and allied forces to interoperate and network across all domains as well as to continue advancing defense capabilities and services. 

As CVP and defense systems president at Northrop, Petryszyn is responsible for overseeing company efforts to provide national security, military and civil customers with a range of missiles and tactical weapons, all-domain command and control architectures, integrated battle command systems as well as sustainment and modernization capabilities.

During a recent Executive Spotlight interview with ExecutiveBiz, Petryszyn discussed the impact that the latest emerging technologies are having in the federal landscape as well as the other defensive capabilities and services the company is delivering for its defense business.

Mary Petryszyn shared her insights regarding the impact of persistent modernization as the threat environment continues to shift and advance to support Northrop’s customers as they work to keep their existing capabilities. 

“We have a proven history of delivering thousands of safe flying hours and keeping our customers’ fleets mission ready,” Petryszyn explained. “Our sustainment and modernization expertise spans logistics support, fleet stewardship, modifications as well as upgrades, mission planning and pilot training. We also provide software and hardware design engineering and integration solutions.”
