Maximus CEO Bruce Caswell Receives 4th Consecutive Wash100 Award From Executive Mosaic CEO Jim Garrettson

Bruce Caswell, president and CEO of Maximus, recently accepted his 2022 Wash100 Award, the highest honor in government contracting (GovCon) that is bestowed on the most significant executives of consequence to the GovCon community, during a visit to the company’s headquarters in McLean, VA by Executive Mosaic CEO Jim Garrettson.

Executive Mosaic is pleased to recognize Bruce Caswell as a four-time recipient of the Wash100 Award. This marks the fourth consecutive year that he’s been recognized, which encapsulates the level of success for the GovCon community as well as his commitment to assisting public sector customers and growing the pipeline of new revenue opportunities for Maximus.

Caswell has held the position as president of Maximus since Oct. 2014 and was appointed the chief executive officer for the company on April 1st, 2018. In his prestigious role with Maximus, Caswell leads its strategic initiatives to assist its government customers to navigate policy reform and modernization efforts to support some of the largest civilian programs across the globe.

Most recently, Bruce Caswell expressed his excitement to continue supporting the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ contact center operations to make important decisions about their customer’s healthcare through a $6.6 billion contract award.

“Over the years, CMS has shaped this program to become the trusted source of information and assistance for Americans seeking to better understand their healthcare benefits,” Caswell explained. “Going forward, this contract will allow our employees to continue providing the best customer experience to the American public.”

Under the CCO contract, the contractor manages over 35 million inquiries per year from clients related to the Health Insurance Marketplace, 1-800 Medicare and others. Teresa Weipert, general manager of federal services at Maximus and a fellow 2022 Wash100 Award winner, said Maximus supports CMS by leveraging its program execution and client mission understanding.

In addition, Caswell participated in a recent video interview with Executive Mosaic to discuss the healthcare industry’s shifting needs and how Maximus has focused its business strategies around increasing the importance of clinical assessments, solving public health infrastructure issues and addressing non-COVID health issues that may have been previously pushed aside.
