Shawn Purvis, president and CEO of QinetiQ Group’s U.S. subsidiary, accepted her 2022 Wash100 Award, the most significant award of consequence to the government contracting community, during a recent visit by Executive Mosaic CEO Jim Garrettson to the company’s office in Lorton, VA.
“Shawn Purvis has distinguished herself through a leadership approach based on teamwork, which is fitting since she ensures that her team of more than 90,000 employees, across all 50 states in 25 countries, have the latest IT tools and technologies to not only provide world-class products and services but keep the enterprise secure in cyberspace,” Garrettson said.

Shawn Purvis was recently appointed as QinetiQ US’ president and CEO back in Jan. 2022. In her role, she oversees the operations of the company as it offers critical capabilities in support of critical assets as well as defense and security forces in the country.
Purvis brings more than 25 years of executive experience leading billion-dollar organizations in the areas of defense, intelligence and cybersecurity with Northrop Grumman, SAIC and Lockheed Martin over the course of her career to help their customers address next generation of threats, strengthen force protection and lessen cognitive burden through autonomy.
“With an ambition to build a disruptive mid-tier company in the US through both organic growth and strategy-led acquisitions, I am focused on driving both strong operational performance and executing on our growth strategy for the medium and long-term,” Purvis said.
