This week, a new executive and company have taken the number one slot. Carahsoft’s Craig Abod, a high performer in last year’s popular vote contest, has demonstrated his status as a beloved member of the community by clinching the top position. Abod has won the Wash100 Award a staggering nine times. Can he maintain his popular vote lead for the next two months? We shall see.
Microsoft Federal’s Rick Wagner held onto the number two position during the week and Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin maintained a respectable number four ranking. One of last week’s new entrants, Google Public Sector’s Karen Dahut, entered the top five this week, moving up a slot from number six.
Also making incremental but significant strides were Deputy Secretary of Defense Kathleen Hicks, inching closer to the top half of the ranking as she went from number 17 to number 16. As well as Commander of the U.S. Strategic Command General Anthony Cotton, a first-time Wash100 recipient who this week burst into the top 20 with a climb from number 21 to number 18.
Voters and awardees alike should keep an eye on two-time consecutive winner John Heneghan. The ECS president had a relatively quiet first month of voting but is surging back into the limelight with a top 30 debut this week at number seven. Additionally, Principal Deputy Director of National Intelligence Stacey Dixon rose from number 24 to number 20 in a week’s time.
