Harish Luthra, CEO of SAP National Security Services, has accepted the 2026 Wash100 Award. Jim Garrettson, CEO of Executive Mosaic and founder of the Wash100 Award, presented the honor to Luthra during a recent visit to the SAP NS2 office.

Why Did Harish Luthra Win the 2026 Wash100 Award?
Luthra’s third Wash100 win is a recognition of his role in advancing secure cloud modernization, accelerating artificial intelligence adoption and strengthening regulatory compliance across federal defense and civilian missions.
Under Luthra, SAP NS2 has expanded its modernization footprint through partnerships across the technology ecosystem. The company partnered with Palantir Technologies to integrate AI-driven capabilities into secure SAP environments to enable data-driven decision-making and enhance operational efficiency.
SAP NS2 has also worked with IBM to support customers transitioning SAP S/4HANA workloads to cloud environments.
Throughout 2025, SAP NS2 also further expanded its presence in the federal market to support government and defense missions.
Luthra’s leadership has led SAP NS2 to win a 10-year, $1 billion contract with the U.S. Army for access to its RISE with SAP portfolio and support the service’s transition from legacy enterprise systems to secure, cloud-based environments compliant with Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program and Defense Information Systems Agency standards.
“By leveraging RISE with SAP, the U.S. Army will gain the agility, resilience and innovation in the cloud to better serve the warfighter,” Luthra said about the contract win. “We remain steadfast in our commitment to provide secure, scalable and mission-ready capabilities.”
In October 2025, SAP NS2’s enterprise tools, including SAP S/4HANA Cloud and SAP Analytics Cloud, were added to the Department of the Treasury’s Financial Management Quality Service Management Office Marketplace, expanding access to compliant cloud enterprise capabilities.
A OneGov agreement between the General Services Administration and SAP further expanded federal access to SAP NS2 offerings, providing discounted access to enterprise software and services across agencies.
Additionally, Luthra is a champion for secure AI adoption. In February, he named AI deployment within regulated environments as a SAP NS2 strategic priority for 2026. The company is integrating AI across enterprise processes while supporting government customers operating under strict compliance frameworks, including the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification.
Who Is Harish Luthra?
Luthra oversees SAP NS2’s engagement with defense, intelligence and federal civilian agencies as CEO, a role he has held since 2022.
He began his career at SAP in 1997 and established the company’s Federal Professional Services practice in 1999. Luthra later served as national vice president of SAP’s Public Services Consulting organization before taking on leadership of SAP NS2.
He is a member of the Potomac Officers Club’s 4×24 Leadership Series, a program for senior-level executives of consequence across GovCon. The executive holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business.
