Major Contract Wins Supporting Federal Modernization

Under Ash’s leadership, Accenture Federal Services, or AFS, secured several major federal awards spanning defense, civilian and healthcare missions. The company was selected for a 4.5-year Department of Veterans Affairs Electronic Health Record Modernization contract, along with a $7.7 million delivery order supporting EHRM integration efforts.

In defense, AFS earned positions on the Missile Defense Agency’s Scalable Homeland Innovative Enterprise Layered Defense, or SHIELD, contract vehicle and secured a $336.8 million U.S. Air Force award for maintenance, repair and overhaul services.

In civilian modernization, the firm secured a $3.5 billion recompete of the CIO Business Operation Support Services, or CBOSS, contract from the Department of Energy. It also landed a $936.7 million Department of Education contract to support the transition of the Title IV Origination and Disbursement system. The company also received an $800 million contract from the Defense Security Cooperation Agency to support the modernization of the National Background Investigation Services system.

Strategic Partnerships Driving Federal AI & Cyber Innovation

Accenture Federal Services has expanded its partnerships across government and industry to accelerate AI adoption, strengthen cybersecurity and support federal modernization efforts.

The company is working with the Department of Energy on the Genesis Mission, a White House initiative focused on using AI to accelerate scientific discovery.

In the private sector, the company has expanded collaboration with Amazon Web Services to support AI and cloud-driven modernization for public sector and national security missions. AFS also partnered with Google Public Sector to launch a Managed Extended Detection and Response, or MxDR, cybersecurity service for government agencies.

“By combining our deep federal cybersecurity expertise with Google Cloud’s innovative AI, we’re delivering a powerful federal cybersecurity solution that enables agencies to operate more efficiently and securely, significantly reducing operational costs and improving threat detection, mitigation and response times,” said Ash.

“This partnership represents a critical advancement for federal cybersecurity, delivering a solution that empowers federal agencies to proactively address evolving cyber threats and ensure mission success,” he added.

The Accenture subsidiary also partnered with Palantir to deploy AI-powered capabilities for federal operations, particularly the Enterprise-to-Edge Data Fusion, Predictive Supply Chain Orchestration and Operationalize Financial Intelligence platforms. Ash described the partnership with Palantir as a game-changer for both companies and their customers.

“We’re investing in building a scalable capability with Palantir that will deliver AI-enabled decision-making capabilities directly into the fabric of government agencies so leaders can act decisively and deliver greater results faster,” said Ash.

The company also collaborated with Anthropic to help scale AI from pilot programs to enterprise deployment and with QuSecure through an Accenture investment in post-quantum cybersecurity innovation. Its partnership with Kovr.ai focuses on enabling secure AI and cloud adoption by combining AI-driven compliance automation with deep federal security expertise to help customers streamline evidence collection, maintain continuous compliance and accelerate the path to obtaining authority to operate.
