Why Has Srini Attili Won the Wash100 Award?

Attili is being honored for helping federal agencies modernize mission operations through the integration of emerging technologies, including cloud computing, data analytics and artificial intelligence.

Since joining SAIC in May 2024, he has helped position the company as a key partner for civilian government customers seeking to modernize IT infrastructure, improve service delivery and strengthen operational resilience.

“It’s my privilege to recognize Srini as a Wash100 Award winner for his impressive accomplishments at SAIC. As executive vice president for SAIC’s civilian business group, Srini has championed investments in mission priorities like healthcare and border security that boosted his division’s adjusted operating margin. This was a notable achievement in a time of scrutinized federal budgets,” Jim Garrettson, CEO of Executive Mosaic and founder of the Wash100 Award.

“Commanding a $1.8 billion portfolio, Srini also grew SAIC’s backlog of civilian business by double digit figures. With past executive success at some of GovCon’s most prestigious firms, including IBM, Deloitte and McKinsey, Srini knows what it takes to achieve in GovCon and I expect his track record of achievement to continue in 2026,” Garrettson added.

Attili’s leadership also reflects a broader push across the federal landscape to adopt digital technologies that enhance mission efficiency and improve public services.

Leading SAIC’s Civilian Business Group

Attili currently leads SAIC’s civilian business group, which supports federal, state and local government customers across sectors such as healthcare, border protection, transportation and financial services.

The company in 2025 consolidated its five business groups into three: the Army-Navy business group; the Air Force, space and intelligence business group; and the civilian business group. Only the civilian business group remained unchanged, with Attili continuing as its lead.

The new structure is intended to streamline operations and strengthen SAIC’s ability to deliver mission-focused technology solutions across government markets.

Advancing Government Digital, Cybersecurity Transformation

With Attili’s help, SAIC has expanded its support for federal and state government modernization initiatives.

In February 2026, SAIC secured a $95 million contract from the U.S. Government Accountability Office to provide comprehensive IT services supporting the agency’s Technical Information Services program.

Under the contract, the company will apply agile delivery at scale to revolutionize how technology is deployed and continuously improve across the agency. The effort aims to transform GAO’s IT into a scalable and future-ready ecosystem that supports its mission.

“Our partnership with GAO is about moving from legacy operations to a modern digital enterprise,” Attili said when the contract was announced. “We are bringing a transformation mindset, not just tools, to help GAO become a technology leading agency. By modernizing applications, enabling a secure multi cloud environment, and leveraging low code, no code, and artificial intelligence, we will help GAO operate faster, smarter, and with greater confidence in its technology foundation.”

Attili also helped expand SAIC’s presence in state and local government markets.

In December 2024, SAIC secured a $170.9 million contract from Texas’ Department of Information Resources to provide managed IT security services that protect state agency networks and strengthen cybersecurity operations.

SAIC provides the department with security operations services, including threat monitoring, risk management and compliance support. Additionally, the company oversaw the deployment of security tools designed to safeguard sensitive data across state systems.

Attili said the award demonstrates SAIC’s commitment to applying advanced technologies to help government organizations stay ahead of evolving cyber threats while improving service delivery for citizens.

Attili’s work in supporting government modernization efforts has been recognized by the homeland security community.

In October 2025, the Federal Enforcement Homeland Security Foundation honored Attili with the Civic Shield Award for his leadership in driving innovation and delivering advanced technologies to support federal law enforcement and homeland security missions.
