Why Is Brandon Daniels Winning the 2026 Wash100 Award?

Daniels is being honored for advancing AI-powered supply chain visibility tools that help government agencies detect risk, accelerate acquisition and strengthen mission readiness.

“Brandon has developed Exiger into one of the impactful and agile companies in GovCon. He has a knack for identifying and investing in critical capabilities years before competitors. One market-leading product Exiger developed under Brandon’s leadership was an AI-powered risk analytics platform for corporations and financial institutions. He also positioned Exiger as an industry leader in using advanced analytics and AI to tackle complex risk and compliance challenges,” said Jim Garrettson, CEO of Executive Mosaic and founder of the Wash100 Award.

“Exiger made headlines in 2025 when its Threat Actor intelligence tool revealed links between Chinese AI company DeepSeek and the People’s Liberation Army. I welcome Brandon into the club of Wash100 Award winners and look forward to his continued influence in the national security sector,” Garrettson continued.

Promoting AI-Driven Supply Chain Intelligence

Under Daniels’ leadership, Exiger has expanded the adoption of 1Exiger, an AI-powered risk intelligence system that enables organizations to map supply chains, identify vulnerabilities and mitigate risks across global supplier networks.

Omdia, a technology market analyst, recognized Exiger’s efforts to strengthen supply chain security, designating the company a leader in its Market Radar: Firmware and Software Supply Chain Security, 2025

Omdia said Exiger’s technology “uncovers vulnerabilities and contextualizes them, alleviating the false-positive noise that firmware security analysis can create. It then provides continuous vulnerability monitoring. This is fueled by the organization’s AI engine, and an AI confidence filter is included with the vulnerability dashboard, along with the severity of each vulnerability.”

Gartner also ranked Exiger as a leader in its 2025 Magic Quadrant for supplier risk management technology and 1Exiger as the top market offering for supplier risk identification and supply ecosystem risk management use cases in its Critical Capabilities Report.

Strengthening Supply Chain Security for Federal Agencies

Exiger has also expanded its presence across the federal government through new contracts and acquisition vehicles.

In November, the company secured a multi-million-dollar contract from the U.S. Army to license 1Exiger for use to support sustainment activities at the Army Materiel Command.

According to Daniels, the platform helps create a more predictable industrial base by identifying and monitoring supply chain risks.

“Our software will help identify at-risk [National Item Identification Numbers] that may be subject to undue constraints from a variety of factors,” he said about 1Exiger. “It will unlock the organic and additive capabilities that the government has invested in. And it will monitor for severe risk hiding in the supply chain, identifying where natural and manmade disasters, supplier operational and reputational risk, and foreign adversary sourcing could create disruptions in the weapons systems our warfighters depend on.”

Exiger also partnered with Palantir to combine AI capabilities and help the U.S. Army gain real-time visibility into multi-tier supply chains, identify risks and disruptions, and improve sustainment and operational readiness.

Aside from its work with the Army, Exiger is collaborating with the U.S. Customs and Border Protection to enhance the detection of illicit transshipment in global supply chains under a multi-million-dollar contract. The platform helps identify attempts to disguise the origin of goods and supports the enforcement of trade regulations.

Additionally, Exiger secured a position on the General Services Administration’s potential 10-year, $919 million Supply Chain Risk Illumination Professional Tools and Services, or SCRIPTS, blanket purchase agreement, enabling federal agencies to procure supply chain risk management technologies.

These efforts reflect Daniels’ broader strategy to provide government customers with advanced tools to manage increasingly complex global risk environments.

Informing National Policy on Supply Chain Risk

Beyond corporate leadership, Daniels has contributed to national policy discussions on supply chain security.

In September, he testified before the Senate Special Committee on Aging, highlighting vulnerabilities in pharmaceutical supply chains and the risks associated with the reliance on foreign manufacturing.

His testimony emphasized the need for greater transparency, data visibility and risk intelligence across critical supply networks to safeguard national health and economic security.

Helping Eradicate Forced Labor in Supply Chains

Daniels has also advanced Exiger’s use of AI to strengthen ethical sourcing and supply chain transparency through the launch of forcedlabor.ai, a free, open-access website designed to identify potential forced labor risks within global supplier networks.

Launched at the World Economic Forum in January, the site uses Exiger’s proprietary AI to deliver evidence-based results that help organizations make informed sourcing decisions.

“Modern slavery is a blight on humanity,” Daniels stated.

“As part of our mission to make the world a safe and transparent place to succeed, Exiger has decided to make the world’s largest dataset on companies connected to state-sponsored forced labor available to everyone,” he added.
