James Clapper Selected to Wash100 for Intell Community Leadership as DNI

Jim-Clapper

Executive Mosaic is honored to introduce James Clapper, director of national intelligence, as the newest inductee into the Wash100 — a group of influential leaders in the government contracting arena.

Clapper became DNI in 2010 and acts both as head of the 17-agency intelligence community and a lead adviser to President Barack Obama on intelligence issues.

The U.S. Air Force veteran is former director of the Defense Intelligence Agency and National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (then known as the National Imagery and Mapping Agency) and a former undersecretary for intelligence at the Defense Department.

Over the past two months, Clapper helped lead the launch of the National Counterintelligence and Security Center within the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and called for greater intelligence integration between the private and public sector during his Jan. 7 speech at the 2015 International Conference on Cyber Security.

“It’s about helping them to recognize the cultural strengths and capabilities that each of the 17 intelligence community elements brings to the table and then getting them to think as a community,” Clapper told the conference.

Executive Mosaic extends its sincere congratulations to James Clapper and the entire ODNI team for their selection to receive this award.
