Verizon Public Sector SVP Jennifer Chronis Presented First Wash100 Award By Executive Mosaic CEO Jim Garrettson

Recently named senior vice president of Verizon’s public sector business Jennifer Chronis, was presented her first Wash100 Award, the most coveted award in all of government contracting (GovCon), by Executive Mosaic CEO Jim Garrettson for driving technology offerings, expanding revenue and partnering with industry leaders to drive digital transformation for Verizon.

Following a significant four-year tenure with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Chronis joined the company as the head of Verizon’s federal business in July 2020. Chronis has more than two decades of experience working in the public sector. Her successes include helping clients to achieve their missions through delivering innovative solutions and driving partnerships in the federal civilian and defense agencies.

“I am honored to join the Verizon Public Sector team and support the missions of Verizon’s Federal civilian and defense agency clients,” said Chronis at the time. “The experience and dedication of Verizon’s people, combined with its world-class portfolio of solutions and services tailored to the public sector is unrivaled.”

After almost a year in the role, Chronis had spearheaded company growth and technological advancements through multiple contract award wins. Most notably, Verizon Federal secured a $2.56 billion contract with the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), multiple task order wins with a total value of $806 million and other significant contract awards.

In April 2021, Verizon Federal named Chronis to assume her current role as the senior vice president of its public sector business. Since her promotion, she has been responsible for partnering with federal, state, local, education and public safety customers to deliver technology solutions and services, including Verizon Frontline, the network platform for first responders.

“Verizon Public Sector is uniquely positioned to deliver the technology and solutions that meet the new challenges the public sector faces from keeping K through 12 students connected while learning remotely, and Verizon Frontline, the network and technology platform built from the ground-up for first responders, to our ongoing partnerships with the U.S. Department of Defense to deliver Verizon 5G for our nation’s military, and so much more,” concluded Chronis.

Executive Mosaic congratulates Verizon Federal and Jennifer Chronis on receiving her first Wash100 Award in 2021. Her efforts will continue to advance technological capabilities for federal agencies, industry partners and the GovCon industry throughout 2021.
