Gerry Fasano, president of the defense group at Leidos, was presented his 2022 Wash100 Award, the third consecutive year that he’s received the honor, by Executive Mosaic CEO Jim Garrettson during a recent visit to the company’s office.
Executive Mosaic recognizes Gerry Fasano as a three-time winner of the most prestigious and illustrious award in government contracting (GovCon) for his continued and invaluable market focused leadership as well as his drive for innovation and defense portfolio diversification.
Under his leadership, Gerry Fasano was irreplaceable in the completion and implementation of multiple acquisitions that Leidos made over the course of 2021, including the purchase of 1901 Group in January 2021 to add managed IT services and cloud computing capabilities as well as the acquisition of Gibbs & Cox in May to to position Leidos for maritime market expansion.
Most recently, Fasano commented that Leidos’ recent $11.5 billion Defense Enclave Service contract award back in March, would bring the company unparalleled scale and expansion as well as a focus on constant innovation.
"The Defense Enclave Services program demands unique expertise and advanced technology solutions," said Fasano. “We look forward to delivering an improved user experience and enhanced mission capabilities."
In addition, Leidos received a potential five-year, $531 million task order, back in Nov. 2021 to provide operational support to the Air Combat Command’s (ACC) intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) program. Fasno explained how the task order would held the armed forces to obtain critical knowledge to combat the latest global threats against U.S. national security.
