Craig Abod, president of Carahsoft Technology, was presented his 2022 Wash100 Award, the highest honor in all of government contracting (GovCon), by Executive Mosaic CEO Jim Garrettson during a recent visit to the company’s office in Reston, VA.
This marks the eighth time in the prestigious nine year history that Craig Abod has received the Wash100 Award. Executive Mosaic recognizes Abod for his visionary leadership to drive growth for Carahsoft’s software portfolio and vendor partnerships.
“Being included among so many esteemed Government and Information Technology industry leaders for the past eight years is certainly an honor that I share with the vendor and reseller partners that we support and with the entire Carahsoft team,” Abod said in February.
Most recently, Carahsoft Technology announced on July 20th that the company partnered with cybersecurity platform vendor Conceal in order to help government customers adopt technology built to protect endpoint devices, networks and cloud environments from malicious threats.
Craig Abod explained how the Conceal Platform will help organizations detect, defend and isolate information technology assets through its intelligence-grade technology offerings.
“This partnership allows Carahsoft and our reseller partners to provide our government customers with unprecedented security for their end users, network and data,” Craig Abod explained.
In addition, Abod recently commented on an agreement between Snowflake and Carahsoft Technology to offer Snowflake Data Cloud to public sector agencies via the AWS Marketplace in order to accelerate the procurement process and provide unified billing capability to customers.
“We are excited to expand Snowflake’s availability via the AWS Marketplace to bring the power of the Snowflake Data Cloud to additional public sector customers through our reseller partners,” said Abod.
The Snowflake Data Cloud has moderate authorization to operate under the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program and can enable agencies to advance information technology modernization and use data collaboration to facilitate sharing of data in order to generate insights and make data-driven decisions in support of their missions.
