Vince Vlasho, a senior managing director and defense portfolio lead for Accenture Federal Services (AFS), was recently presented his first Wash100 Award, the highest honor in government contracting (GovCon), by Executive Mosaic CEO Jim Garrettson during a visit to the company’s office.
Executive Mosaic recognizes Vince Vlasho as a 2022 Wash100 Award winner for his leadership in driving the latest IT modernization efforts for U.S. military branches and the federal landscape as well as his continued efforts to establish cloud infrastructures and ERP systems for government agencies and the elite service branches of the U.S. military.
During an Executive Spotlight, Vlasho discussed the importance of establishing a cloud-based common infrastructure for the U.S. Air Force’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. He explained how Accenture Federal Services is providing support for three major ERP Systems for the service branch, which will be critical to enable the USAF with greater data access and more.
“Cloud is a strategic priority for Accenture Federal Services,” Vlasho explained. “One of the areas that I’m keenly focused on is supporting the Department of Defense (DoD) in its continued migration to the cloud. AFS offers a variety of capabilities that we bring to the fight and the DoD mission transfer to the cloud.
In addition and more recently, Accenture Federal Services was awarded a $729 million contract to help the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) transforms multiple enterprise resource planning systems into a single, consolidated model to improve efficiency, enhance readiness, and reduce costs.
“We look forward to helping the Army move toward a unified ERP supported by innovative approaches and industry best practices,” said the 2022 Wash100 Award winner. “This is an important opportunity to help the Army sustain its legacy systems yet enhance modernization through advanced technologies, such as automated enterprise services.”
