Tina Dolph, Siemens Government Technologies President & CEO, Named to 2022 Wash100 for Leadership in Smart Infrastructure and Energy Management
Tina Dolph, president and CEO of Siemens’ federally focused U.S. arm, has been chosen to receive a Wash100 Award for 2022 that marks her fourth consecutive induction into Executive Mosaic’s annual list of the most significant contributors in the government contracting sector.
Executive Mosaic CEO Jim Garrettson noted Dolph’s selection to the Wash100 last year as a recognition of her unique versatility to see the big picture strategy while maintaining operational focus that drives growth at Siemens Government Technologies.
“Tina Dolph has quickly built a impressive leadership team of seasoned, career executives that function seamlessly as a team,” said Jim Garrettson, founder and CEO of Executive Mosaic. “This is no surprise for those that have worked with Tina across the industry where she has involved herself widely into a board position and non-profit mosaic with a common thread of stressing teamwork and performance thru leadership.”
In January 2021, the U.S. Air Force chose Siemens’ Teamcenter product life cycle management software to help service personnel manage digital acquisition and sustainment processes. “By providing the Air Force and other defense agencies with a robust enterprise PLM solution, time-sensitive and actionable data can be accessed across the earliest phases of a system lifecycle, resulting in lower operational costs, fewer down times, and overall improved readiness,” Dolp said at the time.
SGT secured in February of last year an initial task order for a potential $21 million contract to maintain electronic security systems for U.S. Space Force orbital vehicle launches and range operations that take place on Florida’s Space Coast.
“Our team at the Cape has more than 49 years of collective experience in supporting the unique needs of our Space Force customer for fire and electronic security, with thorough knowledge of the systems installed for safe, secure and reliable operations,” said the four-time Wash100 winner.
In May, SGT received a $60 million task order for the installation of energy-efficient systems at Dyess Air Force Base in Texas, as part of a 20-year energy savings performance contract that calls for upgrades to cooling, heating, lighting and water supply equipment on the military installation as well as the development of power generation and storage platforms.
“By providing new resources that expand on base resiliency and efficiency for smart energy management, the units based at Dyess can maintain focus on their priority missions of critical training, maintenance and airlift needs here at home and around the world,” Dolph noted.
SGT will also update cooling and ventilation systems in a Defense Information Systems Agency facility at Hill AFB under a $14 million task order awarded in September 2021 through the Army Corps of Engineers’ seven-year, $1.2 billion Utility Monitoring and Control Systems-V contract. Dolph said the modernization effort would allow DISA to sustain critical information sharing capabilities that support military operations.
The Siemens subsidiary under Dolph started the fourth quarter of 2021 with an announcement of a $1.78 million contract from the Food and Drug Administration to demonstrate the potential application of virtual digital twins in the agency’s Advanced Manufacturing and Supply Chain programs. According to the SGT CEO, FDA’s work is consequential because supply chains “are the true lifeblood of our ability to respond and adapt when facing a crisis.”
She described her people-centered leadership style in a January 2022 interview with Federal News Network and emphasized the importance of networking for corporate leaders.
“The price of admission is working smart and hard but to grow yourself and your career you have to network. People underestimate the importance of networking. It is important to invest the time and grow those relationships in and out of work,” Dolph said on the “Leaders and Legends” podcast.
